i see here in the forums people showing how to send MMS from multiple modems but i need to know how i can do that to send normal SMS.
Also if you know please share some tips on how to improve the sending speed.

On the SMSC i have 3 modems added (one pcmcia card and 2 mobile phones connected with usb cables) so i need them to send the sms to all modems to improve speed. if you can post some images it would be great.
thanks in advance

Hi Paulo,

There is nothing to configure, because by default, all configured modems will be used simultaneously.

It only becomes complicated if you need to send some messages via only certain modems, which is described here: http://www.nowsms.com/routing-sms-messages-to-a-specifc-smsc-route

Regarding speed, try the "SMS Access" = "GPRS" setting under modem properties in NowSMS. Unfortunately, many mobile operators have this support disabled.

The other big factor is signal strength.

i have a powerfull signal where i live, i will try the GPRS option. Does it cost more to use gprs or is it a default thing that is either enabled or disabled ? I say this because i belive that i'm confusing gprs with the old days mobile internet

It does not actually use GPRS data, it uses SMS signaling over the packet switched network instead of the circuit switched network.

It costs the same.

If it works, it is generally faster.

However, many mobile operators have it turned off, because they don't want devices to be able to send too fast.
