Is the Orange SPV c500 supported?

Can't get it to work.

Thanks

For what?

I seem to recall another thread asking about using this phone as a modem.

Generally speaking, I haven't heard of any MS Smartphones that support the AT command set for sending SMS messages (ETSI GSM 07.05 and the subsequent 3GPP TS 27.005). (They may be smart, but apparently not that smart. )

You might want to try our latest patch update (http://www.nowsms.com/download/latestpatch.zip), as we have added support for phones that only support sending text messages via the AT command interface. And we've also added support for some Motorola phones that have a sloppy implementation of this interface.

But generally speaking, I don't expect that phone to support this interface.

If you want to try some tests, connect to the appropriate COM port with HyperTerminal (Programs/Accessories/Communications), and issue the following commands:

ATZ
AT+CSMS=0
AT+CMGF=0

I expect you'll possibly get an OK response to the first command, and an error response to the final two commands, which would be a good indication that these commands are not implemented.

Out of curiosity, you could also try the following commands:

AT+CSMS=?
AT+CMGF=?

If you get a non-error response to either of these commands, I would be curious to see what response is returned.
