I am using nowsms for sometime now. I have from operator speed of 100 SMS per Sec.
In the morning when I start, i am able to push 100 SMS\Sec but by the evening, speed comes down to 45 to 50 SMS\Sec.
Besides, if someone deposit at the speed greater than 100 SMS\Sec then suddenly performance of nowsms reach its worth with just to 8 to 10 sms\Sec.
The Avg. Disk queue length reach it highest.
What you suggest to overcome this.

If you are requesting delivery receipts for your messages, throughput will slow down considerably as the day progresses. (This is due to overhead of receipt message id tracking.)
We've done a considerable amount of work in optimising this tracking over the years, and made some major performance breakthroughs during the summer of 2008.
Performance has since improved to the point that requesting delivery receipts no longer causes a noticeable performance bottleneck.
Either of the following updates include all of the latest performance enhancements:
Or the update that can be downloaded directly here: http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2009.zip.
If you are seeing extremely high CPU load, this can be caused by having a large number of routes and having a queue backup for one or more of those routes. Reducing the number of routes can make a big difference ... or, the recent updates drastically reduce the CPU overhead.
The real answer really depends on what version of NowSMS you are currently running. We've made constant improvements in performance over the years.

... until it slows down later in the day.
If you are requesting delivery receipts for all messages, this type of slowdown does tend to occur as the day progresses, and this is an issue that we have addressed in later versions.
There could be other performance related enhancements that might apply as well, but that is the one that comes to mind first, as it is by far the most significant.
