Hi.

Is it possible to send SMS without showing mobile number instead showing any text like Company name? I am not talking about flash message.

Thank you in advance.

Sorry, but it is not technically possible when sending SMS from a modem. You cannot override the modem phone number.

Depending on restrictions in your country, it is possible when sending via an SMS service provider, which you would connect to via SMPP or HTTP over the Internet. You would open an account with them and be charged for each message you send.

Flash SMS is another way of hiding the sender address on some networks. For more info on Flash SMS, see How to send SMS without showing our number. Maybe Flash SMS

You need to find an SMS service provider which you would connect to via SMPP or HTTP over the Internet. You would open an account with them and be charged for each message you send.

What you are referring to is known as alphanumeric sender, so you would need to ask prospective SMS providers if they support this in the countries you will be sending to.

Note that messages with alphanumeric sender are not able to be replied to and in some countries they are not allowed due to anti-spam laws or anti-spam rules imposed by the mobile operators. An SMS provider that deals with your country would have more information.

NowSMS is middleware which can simplify the process of connecting to one or more SMS providers and/or modems.

If you are referring to sending SMS via a GSM modem ...

The GSM modem protocol does not allow a sender address to be specified. The modem submits the message to the SMSC, and the SMSC inserts the sender phone number.

If you are referring to the issue more generally, there are SS7 firewalls and filters that can block unwanted traffic.
