Hi. If you send message via your mobile phone it's impossible to change SENDER ID. If you want to do this, you have to have a direct connection to smsc (HTTP, SMTP, SMPP). Please, look at http://www.statsms.net. Via our smsc you can send sms message with various SENDER ID. In some days we will make lower prices. DARO admin@statsms.net

Hi Cymon, You can ask to any mobile operator in your area for url to their sms g/w. They give you url like http://192.168.0.142/cgi-bin/sendsms?user=user_name&pass=user_pwd7&from=from_add ress&to=receiver_address&text=text_msg

Hi. It's not that easy to "ask any mobile operator in your area for url to their sms g/w". You have to be a big company who is prepared to pay a setup and monthly fee and send f.e. over 20 000 messages per week. They don't give access to their smsc for everybody. DARO admin@statsms.net

Just to clarify, it is not possible to override the sender address when routing an SMS message through a GSM modem. When you use a GSM modem, the message is routed through the operator SMSC to which the SIM card is subscribed, and there is no facility to override the sender address. Most SMS service providers will allow you to override the sender address. Although some may require that you register the sender addresses that you will be using with them. And they may have different rules for sender address formatting for different countries. -bn |
