Hi, We are looking at using your Sms gateway to allow clients to connect to us via SMPP. I was wondering if it possible for us to send delivery receipts into the system via HTTP and have them directed out to the client via SMPP. Hope this makes sense | |||

Hi, Sorry that I missed this message when it was originally posted. Unfortunately I have no way to reply back to you, so perhaps you are still lurking about. This is an interesting idea. It would be worth discussing in more detail. The way that I see it potentially working would be like this ... We'd pass 2 additional variables in the HTTP request ... the message ID assigned at the NowSMS server, and the name of the user account that submitted the message. So your service would receive these variables when a message gets routed from an SMPP client to your HTTP service. Then we would require that you pass these variables back to us when you wanted to post back a delivery receipt. There would definitely be some implementation details that we'd need to sort through, but from our perspective, it would not be very complex to support this. -bn |
