I've never tried a Siemens SX1 myself. But based upon specifications, I would expect it to work. I see that it supports GPRS modem capabilities, the only thing that is not clear is whether or not it also supports the AT commands for sending SMS. Provided that you can get your PC to recognise the device as a modem, then you should try adding it to the SMSC list in NowSMS, and see what happens. If you get the error "Modem does not support SMS", then this indicates NowSMS was able to recognise the device as a modem, but the device did not have the required support for sending SMS. If you try it and receive some other error, then it sounds like you need a Windows modem driver which should hopefully be available from the Siemens web site. Do note that this is a Series 60 device, and our experience with other Series 60 devices is that they are fine as a GSM modem for sending messages, but they cannot be used for receiving messages. -bn | |||
