We need your help to clarify something, we have installed the second Server with de other license but we are expericing a high number of messages in queue wich stops the service when this server in production, although we have copied the same INI.EXE config file from the old to this new, the license capacity for both is the same. Is there another thing we have to look for else? The old server is running on windows 2012 server and new one on 2016 server standard both Nowsms V2018, does it have any influence?” | |||

Hi, Did you purchase a new license for this second server? Or did you contact our sales department to get a new license code that would allow you to move from the old server to the new server? Newly issued license codes are not compatible with older versions of NowSMS (prior to 2018.11.xx), and may experience an issue where message delivery is as slow as 1 or 2 messages per minute. If you review the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG file, and the timestamps for sending messages is 1 or 2 messages per minute, the license code is not compatible. Download NowSMS 2020 (or later, if available) at https://nowsms.com/download-free-trial?dl=462357. The trial version can be used to update an existing installation, and this version will recognize the new license code, and should resume expected message throughput. Hi Des, Thanks for your feedback. We have purchased 2 licenses, only one has been installed. Now we decided to install the other one and your department sale shared a new activation code for this. This new server is in v2018.11.21 version. I remember you department sale shared installation the activation code in 2020 year. Now, what do you suggest? firstly, let us validate the license code compatibility, as what I understood in your explanation about seems like no problem. Or proceed to NowSMS 2020 upgrade? | |||

Hi Nelson, If the SMSOUT log is showing a 30-60 delay between message processing, I would update to the 2020 version. Based on our internal support docs, v2018.11.21 should include this license fix, but in practice, we have been advising customers to install a 2020 or later version to avoid new license problems.
