At present,i use smtp to send email and sms,so the mms gateway was my smtp server.If the recipient is +13*******@mms.***.com,the sms can be send to mobile correctly,but if recipient is *******@hotmail.com,the email cann't be send,although i set the smtp relay host correctly. In one word,email cann't be relayed.I've get information about this just as 'Recipient unkown or not local' . So.please help me. Thanks. | |||

The SMTP server in NowSMS won't act as a relay server. In other words, it won't accept an SMTP message and forward it out via SMTP under any condition. It will only accept SMTP messages that are destined to a local SMS or MMS recipient. I understand that this is frustrating for your configuration. However, we have to do this in order to not be an "open relay". (And this means spammers could find it and route spam through it.) So basically, you need to use a different server as an SMTP relay. We don't plan on making the SMTP server in NowSMS into a fully functional SMTP server, just a limited purpose one to meet the e-mail needs of NowSMS. -bn | |||
