Hello. Quick question: Is it possible to route an incoming SMS to a particular SMPP user and to send the same SMS to the 2-way message processor?

Thanks,
Samoh

Hi Samoh,

The quick answer is No. It is going to go to one or the other.

The longer answer is Yes, with some work. Basically, what you would do is configure a 2-way command, and have the incoming SMS routed to the 2-way command. Then have your 2-way SMS command return a redirect response back to NowSMS which submits the message back to NowSMS, but with a different recipient specified, where the new recipient is one that is routed to a particular SMPP user account.

The following links explain more about how to return a redirect response in a 2-way command:

hi Bryce,
The longer answer is Yes, with some work.

Does that mean that the extra sms-traffic is required in order to get incomming sms to SMPP user routed as 2-way messaging?...
