Can someone point me to the section in the NowSMS docs that shows how to get MMS confirmation of delivery when sending MMS via MM7 protocol? I have searched and I have not found it yet. Thank you, Doug. | |||

When you send an MMS message via MM7, if you want to request a delivery report, you set <DeliveryReport>Yes</DeliveryReport> within the XML. If the underlying transport supports delivery reports, then the delivery report would get routed back to the sender address associated with the original message. And it would get routed like a normal message, so you'd need to have an MM7 "MMSC Routing" definition defined to get the message routed back to the VASP. But there are so many different ways that things can be configured, I'd need to know more about your configuration to understand whether or not delivery reports would be supported. For example, you submit to NowSMS via MM7 ... but how does NowSMS actually deliver the message to the recipient? Does it go out via direct delivery by the NowSMS MMSC, or does it get routed via GSM/GPRS modem? If it goes out via direct delivery by the NowSMS MMSC, then it is all rather straight-forward. If it's getting routed via a GSM/GPRS modem, then the "Recieve MMS Settings" associated with that modem need to be configured so that messages that come in via that interface get routed to your MM7 connection. (This is one of the options for where you tell NowSMS what to do with MMS messages that are received by the modem.) To be honest, I'm not sure if delivery notifications from a GSM/GPRS modem can get translated and routed to an MM7 connection in any of the v5.51 releases. This is something that I've tried in the NowSMS 2006 release, but I'm not sure if any of the v5.51 versions or patches also supports this. -bn | |||

It depends on whether by "future life" you are referring to reincarnation or existence upon a heavenly plane. And if you are referring to reincarnation, it is further complicated by whether this reincarnation is in human, animal or vegetable form. So it is not so simple to explain how MM7 might help you in your future life. We recommend that you consult your spiritual advisor. For my own personal outlook, I don't expect it to help me much.  | |||
