Hi

Just downloaded NowSMS and installed on server. I have been trying to connect to my mobile365 account but it fails. I can telnet to the IP and port so i know the firewall changes are correct. However it just wont bind. Is there a special setting I need. I have a custom SMPP API which has worked. Been trying NowSMS and ColdFusion MX but both fail :-( Any ideas?

I would send you more detail - but userid and password data is in it :-)

do you know what smpp error do you get from mobile365 server?

Hi,

That error means that we are not getting any response back from the SMPP provider.

Some providers do this if any of your login parameters are not valid. Or if you are connecting from an IP address that is different from the one your account is configured to be using.

What login parameters did the provider indicate that you need to use to login? Some require that you specify a system type setting when you login as an extra security measure.

We actually had an account with Mobile365 for several years, and I don't remember anything unusual about their connection requirements. But I do remember something like this when we had to change the IP address of our server, they needed to add the IP address on their end ... so maybe that is the issue you are seeing.
