Hi Navin,

Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to that.

I do know, however, that the CDMA interface for sending/receiving SMS uses a different (and incompatible) set of AT commands from the GSM environment.

Currently, we do not support a CDMA modem interface for sending/receiving SMS from NowSMS.

hey bryce i have 2 questions.

1: Does CDMA command sets depend upon the company which manufactured the CDMA mobile phone or can it even depend upon the mobile service provider?

2: Can somehow a command set be monitored via some software/technique for a particular phone model? specifically for Samsung's SCH-N191.

please, any kind of help will be much appreciated. thanks in advance.

Possibly. I have seen specifications from some manufacturers where a variation of the GSM command set was implemented on CDMA (which is great for simple text messages, but unclear for binary messages).

However, there is a standard published by the TIA (and I believe being updated by the 3GPP2), and that is what should be followed by manufacturers. Unfortunately, I have not seen that standard published publicly.

If you had some software that could send/receive SMS via that interface, I suppose you could monitor it via a serial line analyser. It's been years since I've had to use such a product though, so I'm not sure what is current.

There are a lot of questions, but I haven't seen any good answers.
