Hello everybody

I have the following problem with NowSMS v5.51.
We send emails from our monitoring system to admins mailbox and the same message over NowSMS to our mobile phones.

On the mobile phone no new lines are created. Is there a way, that NowSMS automatically sends the correct code for our used mobile phone depending on new lines inside the sent email?

Any help would be much appreciated...

Thanks, Rene

Hi Rene,

No.

I'm sorry, but the e-mail processing logic proactively removes white space to avoid wasting characters in the resulting text message.

From the HTTP interface, you can use "\r\n" to denote a forced line break (or %0D%0A in a URL request). However, there are no provisions for this for messages received via SMTP.

Actually ... as I say that ... you are sending e-mails from a monitoring system, not general purpose e-mails. You might want to try putting \r\n into the text of the message wherever you want a line break. NowSMS does seem to also convert this text into a line break when it is received in an SMTP message. At least that is the case with NowSMS 2006/2007 ... I'm not sure about v5.51.

Hi Bryce

Thanks for your fast response. It seems that we have to live with this "problem".

It't not a big thing but would be nice to have :-)
