Hi Bryce,
Please, answer my question. I have SMS Gateway version v2006.10.31. I need to send sms throught SMPP without login (Mail Server MDaemon 9.5.6 does't support username and password, only SMS Gateway Host and GSM Number). Screenshot is awaylable. Is there a way to allow sending SMS from specified IP without password? Sorry for my English, Thanks.ScreenShot

Hi Vlad,

Can you enable the SMPPDEBUG.LOG (enable the checkbox for the "SMSDEBUG.LOG" on the "Serial #" page of the configuration).

Then have that application try to send a message.

I'd like to see the SMPP request that it generates in order to confirm that the application is actually trying to talk SMPP ... and to see what the exact request is that it is generating.

It is unusual to expect to use SMPP without logging in with a username or password. It is somewhat more common in UCP/EMI environments.

I'm just a little suspicious because the example in your screen shot says "Enter your SMS phone number here (ex: 5551212@sms.com)" ... and it is not normal to specify a phone number in an e-mail format when using the SMPP protocol.

Is it possible that maybe the application expects to use SMTP instead?

NowSMS could also support SMTP ... and a username/password is not necessarily required in an SMTP environment.

Let's start by enabling the SMPPDEBUG.LOG, and see what the request is that the application is generating.
