Hi,

I'm new to this oma drm. I have try with the separate delivery and is working fine with Nokia N70. The file is the MP3 and the constraint is working on the date and interval. However the same .dcf and .dr was deliver to Nokia N73, it's not working.

Activation key is Ok with below condition:

Status
Activation key is valid

Act. from (play)
26/05/2007 23:55

Act. until (play)
27/06/2007

Content sending
Allowed

Content in phone
Several files

However when try play the content the message "Activation key expired. Get new key?"

What wrong with the activation key setting as the contant did not read the key correctly.

When i send the activation key with unlimited play or count control, the contant can be play.

Please somebody advice me and appreciate your help.

Many thanks.

Hi Lee,

We've spent a lot of time investigating this issue, which seems to also occur with the Nokia N95.

At this time, we can only conclude that there is a bug in the Nokia firmware. These handsets do not properly support separate delivery acivation constraints that include a date range, or time interval (such as number of days).

They do support other constraint activations, but these do not work.

I've gone so far as to generate all of the messages and content using Nokia's own toolkit. Just as you have experienced here, the information display about the key suggests that it is valid and has a valid date range ... but it is listed in the phone's UI as being an invalid activation key, without giving any reason for why the key is invalid.

I've also tried both text and binary formats for delivering the rights object to the phone ... and numerous custom edits to the rights objects ... variations on content-id formats ... with no success.

I have seen some posting on the Forum Nokia web site to suggest that others are experiencing similar problems. But I have not seen any solutions.

We updated our Nokia N95 to the latest available firmware version, but that did not seem to resolve the problem.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of any solution at this time. But all indications seem to suggest that it is a bug in the Nokia firmware in the device.
