Hello, In the following link windows 2003 server is not mentioned as a supported OS http://www.nowsms.com/support/faq.htm#WhatdoIneedtoinstallyoursoftware while in some discussions in this board some users seem to be running nowsms on a windows 2003 server. Please advice whether it is supported or not. If running nowsms on a windows 2003 server makes no problems, it would be my preferred choice. | |||

Yes. Windows 2003 Server is an excellent supported platform for NowSMS. | |||

I've just tried NowSMS on windows server 2003 enterprise edition SP1 and it was unable to establish the smpp connection although the settings I used are the same that I used to connect successfully through windows XP professional sp2. Please advice. Thank you | |||

What was the error? Maybe you have the Windows firewall enabled, which can cause some confusion for TCP/IP connections. | |||

The error is: Unable to connect to SMPP server at IP:Port I am still facing the same problem even after disabling the firewall. | |||

The problem was solved after replacing the Cisco VPN client with a newer version. thank you. | |||
