Hi guys,

I'm having problem connecting to my multitech GPRS modem using nowsms. The multitech modem is an external modem and requires the use of an ethernet rj-45 cable to be on the network. it has its own IP and port so it's quite different from internal modems that i'm used to.

How do i get to use it with nowsms?

Thanks in advance

Hello,
I tried to use such modem as well and that time I fine allot of discussion about h to set it up?

See this..........

* Modem configuration for Multitech Ethernet modem.
-------------------------------------------------

[SMSGW]
Modem1=IPModem - 192.168.101.86:5000 // IP for the modem 192.168.2.1

[IPModem - 192.168.101.86:5000]
Username=admin
Password=admin
ReceiveSMS=Yes
ReceiveTo=Direct
------------------------------------
So you need to manually configure the modem into SMSGW.INI file.
Search the Discussion board to fine more details. Coz I got the above from NowSMS support team.
