Hi this is Cherian. We are presently using the trial version of NowSMS/MMS Gateway v2006.10.31. We are planning to purchase the licenced copy of this software. While using the trial version, this is the error which i recieved while sending a message/file using NowSMS interface . "2007-06-19 19:06:54,System,,Bluetooth Modem,Modem Failure -- Unable to access modem, ensure that it is powered on and passes diagnostic tests." Even after testing the blueetoth modem sucessfully, we are getting this error. So what could be the possible problem , and if possible is there any kind of solution to this problem. Hi Cherian, The "Test" button the "SMSC" page works correctly? Even if you are seeing this error in the log files? That is very strange. If you stop and then start the NowSMS SMS Gateway service, does it start working then? (If that resolves the problem, at least temporarily, try the updated version that can be downloaded at http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2007.zip. We have made some updates for a situation where sometimes the configuration program can see a modem, but the service cannot. This particular problem was observed with PC card modems which the NowSMS service could not properly detect when the service starts immediately after a reboot.) If this is not the problem, then what happens if you go into the Windows Control Panel ... select "Phone & Modem Options" ... select the Modem, and go into "Diagnostics" to "Query Modem". Does that also return an error, or is it ok? -bn |
