What is the impact on MMSC when MSISDN numbering plan change by adding one more digit to the current phone number. Do we have to change all numbers in MMSC users tab? | |||

If you don't edit the numbers in the "MMSC Users" tab, then the MMSC will see them all as new numbers. Options for how to handle this ... 1.) Let the users auto-register with their new phone numbers. They are normally auto-registered the first time they send an MMS. 2.) Use the MMSUSER utility to export a list of currently defined users to a text file. Write a program to insert the extra digit (or maybe you could use a "Replace All" feature in a text editor), and then use MMSUSER to import the new numbers. (Note: MMSUSER -import can be quite slow in NowSMS versions prior to 2007.) | |||
