Hi,
I have a HTTP connection to SMSC.
I only want to send SMS.
I want to route all outgoing SMS to CDMA phones with sender id as 23434343
AND
I want to route all outgoing SMS to GSM phones with sender id as ABC

I tried setting up two SMSC connections with the same host/port...but when I modify one, the other is also automatically modified.

How do I go about this? I want the sender ID to go automatically through the web interface, depending on whether its GSM or CDMA
Regards,
Suvinay

Hi Suvinay,

It sounds like you must have an old version of NowSMS (2004 or earlier, pre-v5.51a).

In those versions of NowSMS, it was very difficult to define multiple connections to the same SMSC, and you would see the behaviour that you are describing.

In more recent versions, NowSMS automatically adds a "#2", "#3", etc., to the host name when there are multiple connections like this.

Here's an old posting that explains how you can achieve this in old versions of NowSMS:
