Hi, This error message pretty much means what it says. The SMPP server rejected our attempt to login. The text that follows this message will contain the error code that was returned by your SMPP service provider. The "to receiving messages" part of this error is interesting, however, and might provide an additional clue. This means that NowSMS was able to connect to the SMPP service provider first as a sender, but it is not able to connect a second time as a receiver. If "receive messages" is checked, the default behaviour of NowSMS is to establish two connections to the SMPP service provider. One connection is for sending, and the other is for receiving. When you add a new connection to NowSMS, NowSMS verifies that it can connect as a sender, and then it tries connecting as a receiver. The sender connection is tested first. This means that your provider accepted your login as a sender, but not as a receiver. Some SMPP providers want their customers to make only a single connection as a "transceiver" (which does sending and receiving over the same connection). You may want to try to configure NowSMS to connect as a transceiver. This setting can be found under the "Advanced Settings" dialog when you define an SMPP connection in NowSMS. There is some more information regarding SMPP connection types here: http://blog.nowsms.com/2008/07/smpp-connection-types-sender-receiver.html -- Des NowSMS Support |
