Hi, I'm using EMail System Alerts that is found in nowsms,Is there a way to get an SMS alert?If so, how to configure? Thanks in advance. | |||

Hi Omar, The quick answer is no. The idea is that the reason for many of the alerts is because something is wrong with SMS connectivity. In that context, it makes sense to use an alternate path, like e-mail, for the alert. The only way that you could get the alert to route out via SMS is if you have e-mail to SMS support enabled in NowSMS, and you entered an e-mail address that routed back to NowSMS over SMTP. I hesitate to even mention the above as an option, because it's not a good solution. I'm going to go back to our engineers and ask them to add the ability to specify SMS phone numbers for alerts in a future version. I understand why they wanted an alternate notification path, but I agree with you that having SMS notification as an option would make a lot of sense. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
