Folks, I am able to successfully send OTA settings, bookmarks, vCards, Nok. Rings to my Nokia 3300 phone they all work. However when I go to NowSMS and attempt to send a WAP push (with URL inside) message, it never arrives to my phone? Can that be a problem with my provider and if so what can that be? Other phones I have behave the same, all except that WAP Push arrive. Rgds | |||

Hmm... If you are able to receive the other messages (especially OTA settings), it sounds like binary messages are fine. I don't have a Nokia 3300 ... but in the "Messages" area of the phone, is there a "messages setting" for whether or not "Service messages" are enabled? There is such a setting on the Nokia 6600 ... and if this is turned off, WAP push messages are ignored, just as you describe. You are sending an SI message (not an SL push), and the text associated with the message is non-blank, right? | |||

The very same phone works just fine with another SIM card from a dif. operator. It is only with one particular operator that all but the push (SI) messages get ignored. I suspect that the operator somehow filters those requests. May be it has to do with wireless ports blocks on the operator's circuitry? If so what ports are those for SI messages? | |||

That is interesting. Which mobile operator is it? WAP Push messages are sent to port 2948 (hex 0B84). The other message types that you mention are all sent to different ports. (Although the new OMA Settings messages are another message type that do get sent to the WAP Push port.) | |||
