Hi! I need a technical help in how to send an EMS message consists of picture and text. I have a good background about the specifications but I cannot do that for EMS. Does any one have an idea please, thank you so much in advane. I am looking for a UDH sample please.

I don't see what good a UDH sample would be, because the UDH is the same for an EMS message whether or not text is included. Text always follows the UDH. Here's a message thread that talks about sending a text message to a particular SMS port for an application on the phone that is using the Wireless Messaging API. http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2008.html The concept is the same. The UDH is different for the purpose in the above thread. But you would be using EMS UDH instead. NowSMS v5.01 allows you to mix UDH with a text message when you submit a message, so that you don't have to do the 7-bit packing of the text yourself. -bn

Actually this does not help me, I know that the text data follows the one which represents either a ring tone or a picture or any contents else. I tried to implement this, but the message failed, and the gateways rejected it! Thank you for your response, I will keep looking for a solution. For the NowSms applications, they are fantastic, but I am implementing my own content provider system and tools. Thanks.

Oh, but it should help. Look at those examples ... the only difference is that instead of an EMS UDH header, the examples have a UDH for sending a message to a Wireless Messaging API port. If the UDH instead were an EMS picture, the text would still be included outside of the UDH, just like the text is outside of the UDH in the examples. And actually I've sent EMS with text using the approaches in all three of the examples (#3 is the preferred approach). And sorry if I'm pushing NowSMS a little hard, but you are posting your question in the support forum for our product. -bn

I really appreciate that for you, thank you so much. Motorola has just released a wonderful suite to produce EMS contents, I will study and analize the output contents of it. Thank you so much again. Greetings.

Hi! I forgot some thing, I need your help in some thing else, now, and for more than one week, I have searched 10 companies of SMS Premium Rate number providers for supporting me with such numbers in my business. Actually my business is targeted to the Middle East starting from Dubai, Egypt and Jordan. Can you please recommend me a company that have this service covering the Middle East. There was no one covering the Middle East from the list I have communicated to. Help me if you can please. Greetings.

Thanks for the link...and sorry, but I don't have any suggestions for a premium rate SMS provider. You may have to deal with mobile operators directly.

Sorry, I have no information on this. Searching the web it looks like many data cable manufacturers sell the same cable for both Motorola phones. |
