My SMPP Provider has one SMPP MT account for sending and one SMPP MO account for recieving SMS messages. How I must configurate NowSMS to send and recieve SMS Messages over these two accounts? I would appreciate any help.

Hi Klaus, Do these two accounts use the same username/password for the same server? Or are they different? If they are the same, then all you have to do is define a single SMPP account in NowSMS and check "Receive Messages" in the account. (The default behaviour in NowSMS is to establish separate sender and receiver connections. Alternatively, if you want to use a single transceiver connection instead of sender+receiver, there is a configuration option under "Advanced Settings" when defining the SMPP connection.) If the servers are different, or the username/password are different, then you need to define two SMPP accounts in NowSMS. Defining the sender account is easy ... just don't check "Receive Messages" when defining the account. Defining a receiver only account is less obvious. The process is described in the following link: http://blog.nowsms.com/2008/07/smpp-connection-types-sender-receiver.html If you have any further questions, please feel free to reply back. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi NowSMS Support, Thank you very much for this information's. It works now. It seems that after intensive changes within the SMSC's (add, remove etc...) the routing does not work properly. I got always the following error although I had only one SMSC with a correct setting: Error: No SMSC defined to route message After rebooting it worked well. Best Regard, Klaus

Hi Klaus, Unfortunately, after any routing changes, you need to restart the NowSMS service for the changes to be recognised. I hope we will see more of these changes detected automatically in the future, as it can be quite inconvenient. The user interface should prompt asking you to restart the service after making changes. -- Des NowSMS Support |
