Hi, i could nt send more than 16o chars. I tried segmentation using UDH and Optional paramerts. But in some smpp it fails to display properly. What is the best way to achieve this and what options to be applied

Hi Kiran, The answer may be that your SMPP provider simply does not support it. Unfortunately, it is not unusual for low cost providers to cut corners and not support some more advanced messaging capabilities. All you can do is try the 3 different methods supported by NowSMS, which are configured like this: 1.) "Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding" - NOT CHECKED "Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation" - NOT CHECKED 2.) "Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding" - CHECKED "Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation" - NOT CHECKED 3.) "Encode long messages with 7-bit packed encoding" - NOT CHECKED "Use TLV parameters for port numbers and segmentation" - CHECKED If your SMPP provider can support long messages, at least one of these options should work. (Note: When changing this setting, to apply it, it is necessary to press "OK" twice, then "Apply" and allow the service to restart.) If all 3 options fail, then you should ask your provider. They might have a configuration option on their end that needs to be set in order to enable this for your account. -- Des NowSMS Support
