Hi, when i use email 2 sms, every message send to a user account, not be disccount for the credit in the sms user account. Nowsms only do that, if the mail has sending autenticated, and discount the credit of the sender sms account not the receiver.

I want to know how disccount messages for the credit of the receiver account???. I asume the receiver account is a register SMS USER from Nowsms

thanks you

The problem is that a user account ("SMS Users") doesn't really have a phone number associated with it. Those accounts were designed for supporting users that were submitting messages from the web.

I can think of one possible way to handle your requirement.

If you define user accounts in the "MMSC Users" list ... then those accounts get charged a credit when there is an e-mail to SMS message routed to the account.

(This concept of "SMS Users" and "MMSC Users" has gotten confusing over time. The SMTP server is part of the MMSC, but it also handles e-mail to SMS as well as MMS.)

Thanks for your reply.

A problem of that is i must combine chargues from MMS and from SMS manually. And the real SMS credits left not show in the web interface for users.

My operator chargue for every SMS sending from my modem. Now if i want limit the number of sms by credits for every user, and i offer web to sms and email to sms services, how i can limit this service if mantaint individual SMS stats??? (MMS and SMS accounts).

Let me see what i can do!

thanks again

Jose,

What you are trying to do makes perfect sense.

Unfortunately, the accounts that are defined on the "SMS Users" page were not designed for that purpose. I am going to add this to our future enhancements list, but unfortunately I don't think this is an enhancement that we could implement very soon.
