OK I understand posts like mine may be annoying, but I really need help and this seems the only way to get it. I've currently got the trial version installed, I may purchase it when I can suss out how to use it. First off I need to check a few things, or there's no point in me continuing. With NowSMS is it poosible to send SMS/MMS for free from my computer to other mobiles, also to make it appear to be from my mobile. Also as long as my PC is on can I set up my mobile to send free SMS/MMS from it to other mobiles. I have a Nokia 3510i on O2 UK. Assuming at least one of the above is possible I can continue. I believe the 3510i is not a GSM phone, though correct me if I'm wrong, so I need to use one of the other protocals. I assume HTTP would be the one to go for. Remembering I only want to do the above. Or am I wrong? So I tried for HTTP but I get stuck at the hostname part, what hostname should I use? I own my own URL, and dfo have Apache set up, not that that really matters. Also I'm behind a router, does this matter? I can set up port forwarding easily, I'm on Wanadoo ADSL. Now I understand some of these questions may be answered very easily, but I couldn't find answers elsewhere on the site so please just be kind and help me. | |||

No. NowSMS is not a solution for sending SMS or MMS for free. For more general information about the costs of running a "free" site, see: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/2548.html |
