Hi,

What is the modem that you are using?

This particular error code is manufacturer specific, but I did find some more information on possible reasons here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/22120.html

Based upon the COM port number, I am guessing that this must be some type of USB modem. As such, how did you determine that COM10 was the port number to use? Some USB modems install multiple virtual COM ports, but only one port supports SMS. Other ports appear to support the commands, but return unexpected errors.

Also, if this modem has installed any software for establishing an Internet connection over the modem, make sure that software is not active, as many modems cannot send SMS messages while they have a data connection active. As referenced in that other thread, one of the modem chipsets returns CMS ERROR 515 if the modem is busy with another operation, which could be the case if the modem software has a data connection open.

Unfortunately that web site doesn't have any further detailed technical information.

In addition to the previous offered suggestions (verify the COM port is correct as the USB driver may have installed multiple COM ports, and verify that there is not some other modem software that has opened a data connection using the modem).

1.) Under "Properties" of the modem in the NowSMS "SMSC" list, change "SMS Access" to "GSM".

2.) Move the SIM card from the modem to a phone and verify that the phone can send SMS with that SIM card. (If SMS access is disabled, or the account is out of credit, this can cause modems to return unusual errors.)

3.) In some rare instances, it may be necessary to manually configure the SMSC address before NowSMS is able to send SMS messages. (A default SMSC address should be provisioned on the SIM, but some modems fail to read it properly.) To set the SMSC value, first you must determine what the correct value is to use for your provider. The easiest way to do this is to put the SIM into a phone and go into the configuration menus on the phone to locate the configured SMSC address. This SMSC address will be a phone number in international format (starts with +). To configure the SMSC address in NowSMS, locate the SMSGW.INI file (usually in ProgramData\NowSMS, but in Program Files\NowSMS under some versions of Windows), and under the [Modem - your modem name here] header, add: SMSC=+999999999999 (where +999999999999 is the SMSC address).

dear Des,

kindly note that when i'm trying to send bulk sms to a specific operator, i check the smsout.log file i can that some numbers return invalid sender address.
the problem is that when i checked the req files in the Q folder i found out that the delivery report is being sent in the request itself, and the submittedby parameter is set to Delivery-error-+

below is an example:

SubmittedBy=Delivery-error-+9647703383675
Sender=+9647703383675
PhoneNumber=1304

Hi chady,

I am having difficulty understanding the problem that you are describing.

Are you saying that you see this message in the outbound Q directory?

There was a problem in NowSMS 2006 that was fixed in later releases where this could happen.

Hi Chady,

It depends on whether or not you have a valid purchased license code.

Each NowSMS purchase includes free updates for one year.

You can download NowSMS 2007 at the following link:

http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms2007.zip

However, if you are running a license crack, you may experience problems with that update.
