I have a Nokia c2-00 attached via bluetooth as a modem to my PC. The modem name shows up as PC Connectivity Bluetooth Modem, I'm guessing this is the right modem since its the only one with drivers by Nokia. I tried querying the modem and it queries fine, as well as testing it from the NowSMS gateway, where it tests fine. After starting the service when I go to the web interface and send a message to any number (what is the format of the number, btw? Something like +9199842375?), it simply queues up the message and doesnt send, but keeps retrying several times. The error in the log file is COM 500, it just shows retry pending. I tried changing the setting to GSM from default as well, but oesnt help. Why is this happening. Have I set up something the wrong way?
Thanks.

Hi,

+CMS ERROR: 500 is difficult to troubleshoot, because it's meaning is defined as "Unknown Error".

As a first step, confirm that you can send an SMS message OK using the SMS client on the phone. If that doesn't work, you will also have problems with NowSMS. (BTW, whatever phone number format works from the SMS client in the phone should also work with NowSMS.)

Issues that can cause CMS ERROR 500 include:

Poor signal strength.

"SMS Access" needing to be set to "GSM" because that is all the network supports. (You've already tried this.)

Other modem software attempting to also use the modem. (Make sure Nokia PC Suite is not actively running.)

With some modems (very few), it is also necessary to manually configure an SMSC address as explained at http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/126.html.
