Hi....
We have NowSMS Lite 2011.070.07 trial version.
If it is installed on a 32bit XP machine, we get delivery receipts which are matched with the id: field..
However, on a 64bit Windows2008-R2 machine, the delivery confirmations come with id:Unknown. Hence they cannot be matched.
As per a previous discussion thread on your forum, we checked the SMSDEBUG.log and can see the CMSG:xxx (valid number)after the AT+CMSG message.
Appreciate your support.
Mathew.

Hi Mathew,

I need to be able to see the SMSDEBUG.LOG to be able to make a diagnosis.

The ID number may be present, but it may be inconsistent, making a match impossible.

Or there may be some unexpected formatting in the response or the receipt.

Without seeing any details, there is no further information or suggestion that I can offer.

Is it the same exact modem that was used on the 32-bit XP machine, or a different modem?

Hi Mathew,

Thanks for posting that.

I can confirm that the modem and network are returning all required information in the correct format to perform the delivery receipt matching.

The receipt shown in your debug log should have been a match.

What is not clear is why the receipt matching did not work.

Under the ProgramData\NowSMS directory, there should be an SMPPDATA\MultiTech Systems USB GSM_GPRS Wireless Modem, with a 20120501.DB file.

I'm wondering if the directory and/or file did not get created for some reason.

Assuming the file exists, could I see it? Either post in reply or e-mail to nowsms@nowsms.com with Attention: Des in the subject line.

Hi Des,
We are noticing something strange here. Since the delivery confirmation problem seemed to be have solved on re installation, we uninstalled it and reinstalled the Lite Edition. Since then, delivery confirmation is not getting matched. We also see 2 entries in the "Service Control Manager - "NowSMS Gateway Lite edition". The DB file is also NOT created under SMPPDATA{Modem Name}. SMSDEBUG log has the entry CMSG:xxx.
Appreciate your attention.

Hi Mathew,

If the SMPPDATA\modem name\yyyymmdd.DB file is not created, then no message IDs will be tracked.

I've tried multiple install/re-install/un-install scenarios on a Win2008 R2 system today, and have not encountered any issues.

Does the ProgramData\NowSMS\SMPPDATA directory exist? Do any subdirectories exist within it?

I can only assume that there must be some sort of rights issue on the system that is keeping the directories or files from being created.

(The 2 service entries is normal.)
