Hi, Dear NowSMS supporter: I am trying to send WAP PUSH message via nowSMS. I connect Nokia 2730c with my PC through serial COM.I am able to send out a normal SMS to my device successfully. Then I go to web interface: http://127.0.0.1:8800, choose WAP PUSH Message. I attached a screenshot in the attachment. Since SI ID, SI created, SI Expires are optional, so I leave them blank. Then I click "submit" button, I find the log in the log file as below: 2014-09-18 14:01:22,127.0.0.1,,54192062,WAPPush,Recip=13811832743;Binary=1;DCS=F5;UDH=0605040B8423F0;Data=3D060403AE81EA02056A0045C60C036D2E62616964752E636F6D00070103E799BEE5BAA6000101 Do I miss something? Why WAP PUSH cannot be received by my device.WAP PUSH feature is enabled in device setting. I have tried several devices like Nokia 2730c, Huawei Andriod mobile, Blackberry.   | |||

Hi, I also met this problem waiting for resolve. I had tested Class 0,1,2 SMS can be received successfully by my test phone. But Wap Push message never ever be received. | |||

Hello NowSMS supporter, I had configured NowSMS on my computer. Use Nokia 311 as GSM modem, or Nokia X (Normandy) as Android phone modem, I had tested Class 0,1,2 SMS can be received by my test phone successfully. But I never ever received Wap Push message. I don't know what's wrong. Waiting for your great support. By the way, I am in China, don't know whether the CMCC operator disable the interface. Best Regards, Wu Wanbao | |||

Hi, An Android phone modem (using the NowSMS Modem app over WiFi) can only send WAP push messages on HTC phones, or when rooted with specific Xposed modules installed. (More info here: http://www.nowsms.com/send-wap-push-and-binary-sms-with-android-phone-as-modem) If the device is being used as a modem via USB, such as with the Nokia 311, the above is not an issue. However, some mobile operators do block mobile originated WAP Push (with "security issues" as their reason). Check the SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG to see if an error is being reported when trying to send the message. If there is an error, this means the operator is refusing the message. If there is no error, it is still possible that the operator is discarding the message. In either case, the only suggestion we have is to try the settings to use a different DCS or PID value. See http://www.nowsms.com/wap-push-att-usa-gsm-modem ... PushDCS=4 is a good setting to try. But unfortunately, it may be a case that mobile originated WAP Push is being blocked by the operator. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

My Nokia device cannot receive the WAP PUSH message. Dear xueqinshen and Wanbao, Did you fix the issue? I have same issue when send wap push by nowsms. I am in Chengdu and have tried China unicom and mobile network.both have this issue. And I know another company in Shenzhen.they can send wap push and oma cp successful. | |||

No, I cannot send mobile originated WAP PUSH message in Beijing with CU and CMCC card. But I heard someone in Tianjin and Huizhou(Guangdong) did it successfully. So I guess in that area the carrier doesn't block it. | |||
