We suddenly started getting hundreds of the below emails. We had to shutdown the OUR NOWsms servers. Hi, We are investigating what could trigger such a loop, so that it can be prevented. If you have any of the early emails that described the original condition, that would be helpful. I'm guessing that somehow a message was sent from the shared mailbox address to itself, which apparently can trigger an error loop. To resolve the immediate problem, with NowSMS stopped, connect to that shared mailbox with POP3 or IMAP and delete any of these pending messages. On the NowSMS server, look at the MMSCOUT directory, which contains any pending outbound emails and clear them before restarting NowSMS. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Follow-up. We have confirmed that there is a problem if the shared mailbox email address sends a message to itself without a recipient in the subject line. This triggers an e-mail error loop. An interim update (full install EXE in the ZIP) is available at the following link: NowSMS: http://www.nowsms.com/download/nowsms20140930.zip NowSMS Lite: http://www.nowsms.com/download/lite20140930.zip The version identifies itself as 2014.08.29, however there is one updated component that specifically fixes the error email message loop. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
