Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by this. But I assume you are asking about message status for NowSMS sending the message upstream to your SMSC connection(s). The SMSOUT-yyyymmdd.LOG records this information. This is a comma delimited log. Field #5 is the status field. If status starts with "Error", then the message could not be sent. If it starts with "Retry Pending", then an error occurred but the message is still queued for retry. More info on the log file format here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/5804.html More info on error conditions here: http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/5766.html -bn

There are different versions of Nokia PC Suite for different Nokia phones. (Some phones only support particular versions.) Nokia Data Suite is an older product that was specifically for the Nokia 5110 and 6110. Those phones did not have GSM modem capability, but this software provided some emulation of this capability. Usually, you can find a link to PC Suite by looking up a particular phone model on the Nokia web site. Then select Support, and they usually have a Software link there, which should eventually get you to a download for PC Suite. I was looking up some info on the Nokia web site yesterday, and found a great link that explains compatibility for PC Suite and different Nokia phone models: http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0%2C%2C72030%2C00.html Generally speaking, if a phone does not support NMO (Nokia Modem Options), then it seems that it does not support GSM modem functionality.

I have a Nokia 6310i connected to a PC (XP) via infrared. Using PC-suite 4.5.30.07. Everything works fine including receiving SMSes. The appear perfectly OK in PC-suite. But I can't send any message out from the PC - it works fine from the phone. Did anybody have had a similar prob? |
