Hello All, I am the lead developer for a very popular location based services application in the UK market. We typically receive around 500 SMS messages a day and send out just as many. We also recieve MMS messages - ca 50-100 a day. From time-to-time (a few times a week) we have a need to send out a burst of MMS messages to 100 numbers - though this can in theory be as many as 700. Our SMS/MMS needs are currently being delivered by a commercial provider of such services. I am now investigating the possiblity of handling this need inhouse with a GSM modem and a suitable MMS server. All the messages come from/go to UK mobiles. I would much appreciate some advice here - given the volumes I have described is this something that I can reasonably hope to handle in-house? |
