Hi all,

I would like to know whether NowSMS is capable to act as SMSC (when using GSM modem) or can only act as SMSE (connecting to existing SMSC).

Hi,

NowSMS is not an SMSC. It is an MMSC.

From an SMS perspective, it does not connect directly to the SS7 network, which would be a requirement for it to be considered an SMSC.

NowSMS can act as an SMS relay, functioning as an SMPP server, and accepting messages via SMPP or HTTP, relaying them to an upstream SMSC connection.
