When enabling HTTP proxy is it possible to have the client IP used as the flow IP on the Internet side? In other words we would like to be able to see the IP address of the device where the request originates (the mobile device) on the Internet side. Failing that, is there a way to use the X-Forwarded-For HTTP header instead of the X-WAP-Client-IP HTTP header? | |||

Hi, There is no existing facility to perform any of these translations. However, I had a brief discussion with engineering, and they tell me that adding support for the X-Forwared-For header would be a very simple update. And it would be useful for us to support this "de facto" standard. To follow-up with me on this, please send an e-mail to nowsms@nowsms.com with (Des) somewhere in the subject line of the message (my name surrounded by parentheses). Make reference to this thread, and X-Forwarded-For header support. I will then follow-up with engineering to get an update to you via e-mail. -- Des NowSMS Support |
