I run Now.WAP Proxy v2.58a It's so old version. So I want to upgrade v2010. I can't find information of upgrading Now WAP in your homepage. I sent email to Keith Norris. But I don't have received answer. In the email, There is Serial Number I purchased. My email address is yangyang09@lge.com. Please verify it. And I some questions. 1.Does Now.WAP Proxy v2.58a I run support wap v2.0? 2.Let me know way to upgrade now wap. 3.Now now wap proxy is run in the C drive of PC. I will reinstall now wap proxy in the D drive. Because, C drive capacity is not enough. If I reinstall now wap in the D drive, do I need another authorization code?

Hi Johnny, I will make sure that Keith or one of his associates replies back to you tomorrow. 1. To the best of my knowledge, NowWAP 2.58a does support WAP 2.0. 2. I will ask a sales colleague to reply to you tomorrow. 3. If you uninstall from C:, then re-install to D:, there is not a need for a new auth code for NowWAP. -- Des NowSMS Support

I will follow-up with him again. But ... I'm not sure why he would be sending you an auth code. I assume you have lost the original auth code and want a replacement? If you are just moving the installation from the C: drive to the D: drive on the same PC, you will not need to re-enter an auth code. If you want to manually move it, follow this procedure: 1.) UNcheck "Run as a service" and exit the NowWAP configuration program. 2.) Move/copy the files to the desired new location. (Preferably just move/copy the whole directory.) 3.) Run WAP3GX.EXE, and check "Run as service". 4.) Create a new short cut for WAP3GX.EXE to access the configuration program ... and/or update existing shortcuts to load from the new directory. Regarding changes ... Unlike with NowSMS, we do not publish a detailed change history for NowWAP, but here is a quick summary: 64-bit implementation (32-bit also still supported). Significant performance improvements, especially under heavy load. Support for multiserver configurations sharing a RADIUS accounting feed. Additional RADIUS options for attributes such as SGSN address (used to detect roaming users) and network access type (2G/3G). Reporting options. Various minor compatibility issues (protocol related, and improved support for Windows Vista/7/Server 2008). |
