Hi Zeeshan,

I'm confused by your saying "have done the same configurations". Does this machine that this install is on a different system?

The phone number (MSISDN) of the device is determined through RADIUS accounting. RADIUS accounting is pushed to NowWAP by your GGSN/access server.

If this is this is the same server as before, it should be receiving the RADIUS accounting feed as before. However, if you uninstalled before installing the update, this would remove the NowWAP configuration files. You would need to make sure that the accounting port number and shared secret are correct so that RADIUS accounting packets can be received correctl.

When installing an update, do not uninstall first.

Even if going back to an earlier version, our installs are designed to replace the installed version with the version contained in the install.

For troubleshooting to see if NowWAP is receiving any RADIUS accounting packets, NowWAP records RADIUS-yyyymmdd.LOG files in its directory. This records any RADIUS packets received. Are you seeing new connections being logged here?

Hi Des,
We have installed new version on new machine and on NowWap application we have done the configurations as per the last version we had on another server. Unfortunately, we did not see any Radius logs, even no file "RADIUS-yyyymmdd.log" has been created.
Kindly advise.

Hi Zeeshan,

The lack of RADIUS-yyyymmdd.LOG files (in the same directory as WAPGW-yyyymmdd.LOG) indicates that no RADIUS packets are being received. If this is a different server, it is the access server configuration that needs to be updated, to tell it to send RADIUS packets to the new NowWAP server.

Hi Des,
How and where I can update this configuration?
"it is the access server configuration that needs to be updated"

It is external to NowWAP. NowWAP is only a receiver. The GGSN sends the RADIUS accounting information.

Thanks. Will ask our technical team to add new wap gateway into GGSN, and see if it works. Will update you as well.

Hi Zeeshan,

If you're stuck, change the IP address of the new server to take the place of the old one.

Hi Team,
Thanks for your support. NowWap is working fine now, after configuring GGSN for new wap gateway.

Zeeshan
