Is there any way to reset the daily/7 day/monthly counts to zero in NowSMS Lite? | |||

Hi Paul, I had to do a little investigation to see how this works. The counters are stored in YEAR.QTA (e.g., 2012.QTA) in the USERS\username directory. If you delete this file, it will reset the counters for that user. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Hi Des, on this same subject. I'm hoping to add the traffic for the same user from a previous year. The server was formatted but the SMS-YYYYMMDD.LOG files are still in our backup server. Is there a way I can introduce this counts of the sms traffic back to the 2013.QTA of this user? | |||

Hi Michael, We do not have any tools that would build the .QTA file, but the format of the file is somewhat straightforward. It is a sequence of unsigned 32-bit integers with one per day of the year. Each of these integers is a count for number of messages sent on that day of the year. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||

Sorry, about that Des, browser cache issues. Can we read the file and see the presentation as it appears with a view to replicating the file with a tampered one? | |||

Hi Michael, Drop the file (e.g., 2013.QTA or 2012.QTA) into the USERS\username directory, then go to the SMS Users page, select the user and press "Stats". The Admin web interface will also show this information, but you need to select to "Modify" the user as there is no separate "Stats" option. I would recommend that if you generate any files, it'd be a good idea to pad them to 1,464 bytes (366 32-bit integers for max number of days in a year). I'm not certain this is strictly necessary, but I do see that this is how NowSMS generates these files. -- Des NowSMS Support | |||
