Hello, dear customer support. I have a problem with NowSMS Lite. I'm using a 3G modem to send SMS messages. First sending message goes well for 3-5 seconds, and the following sms goes for 30-40 seconds and the computer processor is loaded at 100%. Tried different modems: ZTE MF192 (Beeline) and Huawei E160G (Megafon). I read about advanced ini configuration. Tried to add theese strings in different combinations:

ModemSendDelay=500
SMSCSendLimit=1/5
DelayAfterSend=1000
DelayAfterError=1000

But still no luck. Is it normal for NowSMS ? Please advise how to proceed ?

P.S Noticed that with ZTE MF192 processor is always loaded at 100% and with Huawei E160G it happens only when it's sending sms.

Hi Alex,

That is not normal, but we have seen issues with some modems. Try adding:

OldModemTimeouts=Yes

to the [SMSGW] section of SMSGW.INI, and it should solve the problem.

P.S. - Restart the service after applying this setting.

Des, thanks for Your answer. Situation changed a little. Now I see 100% load only during sending sms. After sending it's back to 0%. I tried to use "Connect Manager Utility" from provider of modem. It doesn't load processor at all when sending sms.

Hi Alex,

Is this only with the ZTE, or also with the Huawei E160G?

Try also adding MinimumReadDelay=100

If that doesn't make a difference, enable the SMSDEBUG.LOG. I'd like to see if there is anything unusual in the log during the sending process.

Those are experimental settings.

A few months ago someone experienced a similar issue at http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/72654.html

So I spent some time with our engineering team...and they suggested trying these settings which were implemented primarily to facilitate our internal testing. Different modem drivers seem to have different quirks.
