Hi,

We are trialing NowSMS Lite with the Android modem setup to email MMS/SMS message to email - seems to be working well so far.

We don't have the gateway running 24/7, and it seems messages are queued/buffered on the Android device (modem) when the gateway is not on, and emailed out when the gateway comes back online. I am just wondering where received SMS/MMS messages are buffered/stored and if they are automatically deleted from the buffer at some point, and if so when, or can the messages be cleared manually in some way?

Thanks,
Jonty

Hi Jonty,

The expectation is that NowSMS is running all the time as a service, and the messages are buffered there, as they would not be buffered on device.

The configuration program UI will let you see the outbound queues and delete messages. On the PC itself, under the NowSMS directory, the Q dir has pending SMS, VASPQ has MMS. There is also access via a web interface...if you create an SMS User account with admin access. In the current version, an Admin button gets enabled that then gives access to the outbound queue. (A new release is imminent with an enhanced web UI.)

Hi Jonty,

Des mentioned an imminent update with an enhanced web interface.

A release candidate for this new version has been posted at
