We've been running NowSMS for a couple of years and upgraded to the 2006 version last year. Recently the sms gateway service has been spontaneously restarting on our server and has progressively gotten worse. The log files don't show anything unusual that I can find and there are the following entries in the windows event log when the event occurs. We really need to figure out what is causing this. Event Type: None Event Source: NowSMS Event Category: None Event ID: 0 Date: 6/5/2007 Time: 7:40:16 AM User: N/A Computer: ORLSCPV Description: The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( NowSMS ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: Now SMS/MMS Gateway v2006.03.01 service started. Using web port 9090. Using SMPP port 6200.. | |||

After speaking with tech support via telephone I applied the latest patch set and since then it has been stable. | |||
