Hi,

I am sending MM7 messages via Now SMS/MMS. I have a question regarding destination no mentioned in the MM7 SOAP part.

Is it mandatory to have with destination no prefix + and suffix /TYPE=PL? If not, what consequence it can have if set?

How MMSC finds the destination type? Actually MT MMS is working fine with Now SMS/MMS but the same implementation shows the following on Nokia MMSC:

Success indication: message failed - 308
Error cause: EA error
Destination type: 103

Thanks in advance.

The requirement for the "+" prefix can vary based upon mobile operator and MM7 schema version. Some early MM7 schema versions did not support the "+" in a number.

The /TYPE=PLMN suffix is not expected. (And probably violates the XML typing for the number field.)

NowSMS does allow the suffix because we allow different suffixes to take advantage of NowSMS specific functionality.
