Union Telephone v2008.06.03 These are linux based phones. When messages are sent from Nokia, Sony, etc to these phones via MM1, only the first piece of content is shown. The other attached content is not displayed. There is no probelm receiving from these phones and between these Motorola phones. Thanks, Joseph | |||

Hi Joseph, I assume this problem happens with messages sent directly from phone to phone on the same network, is that correct? (No interconnects involved.) That is very strange, because in that scenario, the MMSC does not modify the structure of the originally sent MMS message (it modifies the header to change from submit to receive format, but leaves the content in the same binary format) ... unless content adaptation is triggered. As a quick test, can you disable the "Enable Dynamic Image + Audio Conversion" setting? Is there still a problem with that setting disabled? That will tell us if the problem is content adaptation specific. We don't have either of these phones (at least not in a Linux based version) in our test lab. We'd be curious to test it and get to the bottom of the problem. I believe you're located in the US. I've got an engineer doing some testing this week ... if you could overnight a phone to the east coast. Then we'll ship it back to you at the end of the week. If you want to try that, send an e-mail to nowsms@nowsms.com with a subject line of "Attention: Des". I'll reply with shipping details. Otherwise, I'll have to figure out where I can source one of these phones. I do see lot of places with them, but I don't see anywhere that Linux is mentioned. -- Des NowSMS Support |
