Hi Raymond,

This is probably the best document for describing the process of configuring NowSMS for a connection to an operator MMSC over GPRS:

http://www.nowsms.com/documentation/ProductDocumentation/mms_notifications_and_c ontent/Connecting_to_operator_MMSC.htm

Here's a discussion thread that also discusses this setup:

http://support.nowsms.com/discus/messages/1/585.html

If these don't help you, please reply back and advise where you are encountering difficulty or confusion.

Hi Raymond,

A static IP address is only a requirement for performing direct delivery of MMS (NowSMS as the MMSC).

A static IP address is not a requirement when configuring NowSMS to send MMS messages over GPRS through an operator MMSC.

If you are attempting direct delivery and do not have a static IP address, here are some suggestions:

If you have a dynamic IP allocated by an ISP, you can use a service like no-ip.com which implements dynamic DNS so that you can have a static IP address that is mapped to a dynamic IP address.

If you are on a LAN and behind a firewall, there would have to be a port mapping in that firewall that maps requests in to the PC that is running NowSMS.
