Hi Des! i have one query, If NOW SMS Works as an MMSC, then what is the difference in below two points. TO RUN MMSC 1. One is buying Dialogic Stack (Hardware) along with Contarra Multi-Messaging Solution (Middleware) 2. One is Buying NOW SMS/MMS to setup MMSC Kindly Clarify Regards

Hi, I do not understand how the Dialogic stack is related. You might be confusing MMSC with SMSC. An SMSC does require an SS7 interface, which does involve hardware. An MMSC does not. (Although an MMSC does require an SMSC connection, which is usually done via SMPP.) I'm not very familiar with the Contarra Multi-Messaging Solution, but it seems to be a voice mail system. That voice mail system has an option to deliver voice mail messages via MMS, but it does not appear to be an MMSC. -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Simranjit, Apologies for the delay in response ... we only responded to emergency support over the holidays. Person to person MMS uses the MM1 protocol. The NowSMS MMSC supports automatic user provisioning. More information on how this works can be found here: http://www.nowsms.com/support/bulletins/tb-nowsms-002.htm Application to person MMS uses MM1 on the delivery side. On the application side, MM7 is most commonly used in an operator environment. But as NowSMS is used in a variety of different configurations, there are additional interfaces that are described here: http://blog.nowsms.com/2009/02/sending-mms-messages-with-nowsms.html Person to application MMS also generally uses MM7 on the application side. End-users don't see it any different than sending to another end-user. MM7 is a SOAP/XML based protocol. Again, NowSMS has some other additional interfaces, including a file/directory based interface for processing received messages, and an interface that is designed to work with PHP scripts (http://www.nowsms.com/support/bulletins/tb-nowsms-016.htm). The contact page of our web site has the contact details: http://www.nowsms.com/contact.htm -- Des NowSMS Support

Hi Des! thanks for revert, i had send the mail for licensing options. Also clarify one thing. In CDMA Operator environment instead of WAP, BREW is there. how it works then. Also to run NOW MMSC in CDMA Operator Environment, is it neccessary that WAP Gateway should be there. if YES then any WAP gateway or NOW WAP only. Also in CDMA Operator Environment how the request comes to NOW MMSC Regards |
