Hi,

When sending wap push multimedia messages (both manually by the web page, or by activating the "convert MMS to multimedia wap push" option in MMSC) the notification reaches the mobile, but when retrieving the wml page, the phone gives the message: "NOT WML content" (or fails, depending on the phone). The wml page, which is created in its place, is succesfully retrieved (this can be seen by reading the MMSC-AAAAMMDD.log or the MMSCDEBUG.LOG).
Could this could be a problem in the formatting of the wml page? (I´m running the V5.50 of the MMSC with an Alcatel-nextenso wap gateway). How could this be fixed? (this feature is *very* important in our solution, in order to support legacy terminals!)

Thank you in advance.

We're going to follow-up with you directly via e-mail on this one.

There does not appear to be anything wrong with the WML content that is being generated, so we can only figure that there is something about the WML that the Alcatel-nextenso WAP gateway does not like.

The WAP gateway performs a conversion of WML from text format into a binary tokenised format. So there must be something about the WML that we generate that the gateway does not understand.

Considering that the WML generated for a multimedia WAP push is quite simple, it is hard to imagine what the issue could be. It will likely require some manual editing and experimenatation of one of the WML associated with one of the multimedia WAP push messages to determine what your WAP gateway does not like about the message.
