If you are sending via a GPRS modem interface, going through the operator MMSC, then the operator MMSC will not allow you to override the sender address. Some MMSCs will reject the message if you try to supply a from address. Other MMSCs will accept the message but change the sender address to that of the SIM in the modem. It's just the way it is. It's the same way with sending SMS via a GSM modem. (Although in the SMS protocol with a GSM modem, there is not even an option to insert a different from address.) When you send an MMS notification (or use NowSMS as the MMSC), then you are bypassing the operator MMSC. That is why it is different there. -bn |
